  5.      DI-SECTOR is full machine code,
  6.  
  7. with fast-boot routines built in that
  8.  
  9. allow you to boot the disk very
  10.  
  11. quickly.  It does all kinds of things
  12.  
  13. that TCM/UNGUARD does NOT do, like
  14.  
  15. formatting a disk in either 10 or 17
  16.  
  17. seconds (17 seconds if you want to
  18.  
  19. verify)!  The package also includes
  20.  
  21. a fast backup copier that will let
  22.  
  23. you make a backup copy of a normal
  24.  
  25. (not copy-protected) disk in UNDER
  26.  
  27. 3 minutes using a single disk drive!
  28.  
  29.      There is also a sub-program that
  30.  
  31. will allow you to make a backup copy
  32.  
  33. of the ELECTRONIC ARTS stuff, and the
  34.  
  35. backup is UNPROTECTED!  Due to the way
  36.  
  37. that EA puts information on the disk,
  38.  
  39. a program load goes EXTREMELY slowly
  40.  
  41. on the MASTER EA disks, but the backup
  42.  
  43. will load MUCH faster.
  44.  
  45.      I could go on and on about the
  46.  
  47. package, such as the sense of humor
  48.  
  49. the authors seem to have (as in, from
  50.  
  51. the menu page,  CHOOSE YOUR WEAPON,
  52.  
  53. then 'RUMMAGING THROUGH ARSENAL' and
  54.  
  55. 'TELEPORTING TO BATTLEGROUND' when
  56.  
  57. you are loading the sub-programs).
  58.  
  59.      Both companies have an upgrade
  60.  
  61. policy, but DI-SECTOR's seems to be
  62.  
  63. less expensive ($5 updates, while TCM
  64.  
  65. charges $10), and DI-SECTOR is $10
  66.  
  67. less to begin with!  DI-SECTOR also
  68.  
  69. allows you to make backups (up to a
  70.  
  71. total of three) so that you won't be
  72.  
  73. without the program while waiting for
  74.  
  75. a new copy if you bomb the old one.
  76.  
  77.      If you are like me, you'll buy
  78.  
  79. one or the other of these two programs
  80.  
  81. to make backups, or you may elect to
  82.  
  83. try another one (such as ULTRACOPY).

  85. I'd tell you about ULTRACOPY, but I
  86.  
  87. was so happy with DI-SECTOR that I'm
  88.  
  89. not going to get ULTRACOPY!
  90.
